Specialized will produce the Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe race kit for 2025, and riders such as Primosz Roglic showed off their new white and blue kits.
The team had been using Le Cor and Sportful clothing in recent years, but the team announced that its riders would not only be riding Specialized bikes, but would be “decked out in Specialized gear, from helmets to shoes.”
While this is the first time Specialized has provided racewear to a men's WorldTour team, they are providing clothing to the SD Worx Protime and Trinity Racing development teams in 2024.
The Red Bull-Bohra-Hansgrohe riders will wear new Specialized race kit, distinctive Red Bull helmets, and white S Works Torch shoes.
Koo has joined as eyewear partner and Roeckl Sports will supply gloves. The Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe Rookies development team will use the same kit and equipment.
Red Bull-Bohra-Hansgrohe changed from green to dark blue in the summer of 2024 when Red Bull took control of the team and title sponsorship; the 2025 kit has white shoulders and back to keep it cool in hot weather.
The addition of Red Bull increased the team's budget, and team manager Ralf Denk invested heavily in performance staff such as Dan Bigum and a number of strategic rider acquisitions. Denk attempted to pull Lemko Evenpoel out of Soudal Quickstep, but the Belgian chose to stay with his current team for at least one more year.
Roglic was again team leader, with Oiel Lazcano (from Movistar), Italian climber Giulio Pellizzari (VSF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè), talented Kiwi Lawrence Piti ( Groupama-FDJ) and Finn Fischer Black (UAE Team Emirates), and brothers Tim and Mick van Dijk of Visma-Lease A Bike have signed new contracts for 2025.
“With the help of Red Bull and Bora Hansgrohe, we have built a full lineup of 50 new items from the ground up,” explained Specialized's Thomas Perren.
“This allowed us to focus on very specific requirements for both riders' racing and training needs. Using kinetic pattern cutting to build new product blocks, chamois development with the body geometry team, new materials and trims, and validation and testing of all kits at Wintonell, we have created a comprehensive performance apparel package for all-weather race conditions."
‘The team has also developed a new apparel package for the Winton Tunnel,’
and ”the team is now working on a new apparel package for the Winton Tunnel.
“The combination of these products incorporates aerodynamics, thermal regulation, and humidity control, and is optimized to perform at the highest level against all eventualities.
.” The final look of the design is intended to highlight the highlights of these product designs and developments, while allowing the three name sponsors, Red Bull - Bora - Hansgrohe, to stand out on the kit.”
