A New Look for a New Era - Soudal-Quickstep Unveils the 2025 Castelli Kit

Sourdal Quickstep has revamped its kit for the 2025 season. In many ways, this season represents a new phase for the team, which has a long history in Belgium, as it transitions into the retirement years of its founder, director Patrick Lefebvre, and longtime leader Julien Alaphilippe.

The new kit will feature the team's familiar dark blue as its main color, but will also include a fusion pattern of the red of its main sponsor, Soudal, and a new pale blue to symbolize its affinity with northern classics such as Paris-Roubaix and the Tour de Flanders.

The team's 2025 clothing continues to be designed by the Italian company Castelli, which has signed a contract with Soudal-Quick Step for the next two seasons. Castelli will also continue with Specialized bikes and helmets, and other major sponsors such as Safety Jogger and Renson will also feature in the 2025 kit.

Castelli kit designer Luisa Menini says: “We wanted to add a fresh feel and experimented with a light blue fade. When this was presented to the team, we devised a pattern that would be a nod to the great history of this famous team.

.” The idea was then to integrate Soudal's red in a natural way, like the T-Rex outfit used in last year's Vuelta.

Soudal Quickstep's 2025 season is already shrouded in some uncertainty. The team's talisman, Remco Evenpole, crashed into the door of a parked post van while training in Belgium and is currently recovering from the accident. The double Olympic champion broke his ribs, scapula, and right hand.

According to Het Nieuwsblad, “I can't do anything for a month. 'On January 6 we will do another scan to make sure everything is growing properly.'

“Only then can we make new plans. Evenpoel also said he hopes to return to competition in mid-April, and has ruled out competing in next year's Giro d'Italia.

Soudal - Quick-Step expects Mikel Landa, Tim Mellier, and newcomer Ethan Hayter to lead the team when Evenpoel makes his comeback to racing.

Hayter joins the team after spending five seasons with Ineos Grenadiers. The English rider signed a two-year contract and is one of seven new riders to join the team. Maximilian Schachmann rejoins from Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, and others joining the team are Dries van Gestel from Total Energie, Pascal Enckhorn from Lot Dostony, and Valentin Palais-Pantl from Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale They will be.

Moving from the Belgian team is a player who has been synonymous with the Belgian team for the past decade, Frenchman Julien Alaphilippe, who will move to Tudor Pro Cycling in 2025.

Four other experienced riders will also leave the team, with 2021 Tour de Flanders winner Kasper Asgreen going to EF Education Easypost, Gianni Moscon to Red Bull Bora-Hansgrohe, Fausto Masnada to XDS Astana and Jan Hilt to Israel Premier Tech.

With the retirement of founder Patrick Lefebvre, the team will also be new for 2025. The outspoken veteran coach will step down after running the team for 22 seasons and amassing nearly 1,000 wins, including 19 world titles, 22 monuments, and a Grand Tour win at the Vuelta a España in 2022 by Remco Evenepoel. He will be succeeded by Chief Operating Officer Jürgen Foret.

“It is a life-changing moment to leave a role to which I have devoted so much of my life,” Lefebvre said. [It has been an honor to lead this beautiful team and to create so many special memories.

The new leadership looked to reinforce the team's established identity, and Castelli was keen to reinforce this in the production of the 2025 kit.

“We are always looking for opportunities to improve our performance,” says Castelli Brand Manager Steve Smith. [Working with such an ambitious team allows us to improve our products for aerodynamics, comfort, and protection against the elements."

The graphic elements of the 2025 kit were created with the team's energy, motivation, and Soudal Quickstep and The design is youthful and dynamic, reflecting the strong synergy between Castelli's Race Performance division.”

“I really like the new design and am proud to wear this kit in 2025,” Mikel Landa added.

“Next season could be historic for the team, we are so close to our 1000th win and it would be really great to achieve this incredible milestone wearing this beautiful kit.
