Italian component brand Campagnolo will return to the Men's World Tour in 2025 and will partner with the Cofidis team and its bike sponsor Look as part of a 4-year contract.
2024 marked Campagnolo's first absence from the world Tour after a list of achievements, including 43 wins at the Tour de France, 30 wins at the Giro d'Italia and 30 wins at the World Championships.
Until a decade ago, Campagnolo supplied parts to many of the male peloton, but then gradually lost ground to rival Shimano and more recently to SRAM, dominating the supply of finished bikes shipped from Asia by major brands.
Campagnolo supplied two men's teams in 2021, including the UAE team Emirates, which won the Tour de France at Tadej Pogañar.4 However, some riders complained of component and compatibility issues.
Campagnolo has switched focus to the gravel market in recent years, creating a group set of 13-speed Ekar machinery, while continuing to create high-end wheels.
Campagnolo will return to the World Tour in 2025 to equip the Cofidis bike with a Super Record Wireless Group Set and Bora Ultra WTO wheels.
The 2025 Look bike will be fitted with the Super Record Wireless groupset, a new Bora Ultra WTO wheel that can be combined with 28mm or 30mm tubeless tires.
Cofidis is fighting to stay on the World Tour in 2025 and must earn points to secure a place among the 2026-2028 best 18 teams
Guillaume Martin has moved to French rival group Ama・FDJ. But Cofidis signed Alex Allamble, Emmanuel Buchman, Simon Carr and Dylan Toon.
