Esports world champions Osborne and McCarthy confirmed for the upcoming Echelon Racing League

Reigning UCI Cycling Esports World Champions Jason Osborne of Germany and Kate McCarthy of New Zealand have been confirmed to participate in the 12th edition of the Echelon Racing League, which starts from 7/5. 

The Echelon Racing League presented by Takis snacks is managed by Echelon Racing Promotions in partnership with USA Cycling and Cycling Canada, where the League qualifies for eSports National Championships in the United States and Canada. 

The MyWhoosh Virtual Racing platform is used to bring athletes together into a virtual series of 5 races. Omnium Points will determine the ranking of the League Championship held in 2025/1/18 and target the top 50 athletes in the highest ranks of the series. The Echelon Racing League Championship awards prizes to the top 3 finishers in each category, with the top 3 elite men and women sharing equally in a現金10,000 cash wallet.

Early registrations of headliners include riders from Project Echelon Racing and Team USA squad who raced in the Abu Dhabi world on the 26th, including U.S. Women's National champion Kristen Kulchinsky (Virginia's Blue Ridge TWENTY24) and U.S. men's top Hayden Pucker. The US-based Continental team, managed by Hill, will also bring Wahoo Fitness to the league as a new partner.

The race is contested in a variety of courses and several disciplines, in the male and female elite, B, C and para-cycling categories. Hill said about 20% of registrations are from European riders.

Registration is$15 per rider and is open to any nationality. The League will donate 22% of all proceeds to the project Echelon nonprofit, whose mission is to educate, equip and empower veterans through physical activity. All participants registered by 12/1 (Sun) are eligible to win the Rainbow Jersey signed by Osborne.

The opening round of 12/7 will be a 36.6km 3-lap race at the virtual venue in San Francisco, California. On the 12th month there will be 2 more races, followed by the 30km Alcatraz Awol Stage 2 and the 35km Alula Culture Ride on Stage 3.

The New Year race will continue on 1/4, followed by a 35km custom route by MyWhoosh, followed by a 1/11 28.2km City Beach Australia stage.

The League Championship will be crowned the winner of all categories on three virtual circuits in Ghent, Belgium, riding a distance of 1-18 km on 37 March.

The 2025 USA Cycling Esports National Championships will be held in 2025/2/1, with competitions spanning not only elite but also age categories. The Canadian Esports Championship will be held in 2025-2-8-9. To be eligible, participants must participate in at least 1 event in the current Echelon Racing League and hold a valid racing license in their home country.
