Cedrine Kervaor Terminates Contract with Ceratigit WNT, Signs New Deal with EF-Autory Cannondale

After ending her contract with Serratigit-WNT a year early, Sedrine Kervaor has signed a new contract with EF-Autoly-Cannondale for 2025. The Tour de France femme stage winner said she believes she can “do big things” with the American WorldTour team.

“I've always been interested in this team. There are a lot of strong riders here, so I expect to do big things with this team,” Kervaor said.

Kerbaal signed a two-year contract with Serratigit-WNT for 2024 and 2025 after spending one season with Arcare and Cofidis in 2021 and 2022, respectively. team was not initially listed on the list of UCI license applicants for the 2025 Women's WorldTour, which allowed her to end her contract early.

On October 18, the UCI released a list of 15 teams that had submitted the required documents by the deadline, but Ceratizit-WNT's name was not on it. The delay, however, allowed Kerbağlu to invoke a clause that immediately terminated his contract with the team.

Ceratizit-WNT said it was disappointed in the circumstances that led to Kerbaol's decision, but was proud of her accomplishments during her time with the program.

Kerbaol is one of the best French riders in the world, and her attack on Morteau on stage 6 gave Serratigit-WNT its first win and France its first stage win in the Tour de France Femme. This year, he also won the Vuelta CV Feminas, Durango-Durango Emacmen-Saria, Chrono Laurent Bouge, and Tre Valli-Vallesine, and multiple top 10 overall finishes in the Tour de France Femme, Tour de Romandie, and Volta Ciclista a Catalunya. He also had a successful season.

Kervaor said he is looking forward to the 2025 Tour de France Femme, where the Grand Depart will take place on the first stage from Vannes to Priemlec in Brittany and the second stage from Brest to Quimper.

“I love the Tour de France Femme and next year the second stage starts in my hometown. I was born in Brest, so that's a really, really big goal and something to look forward to,” she said.

While looking to improve further with EF-Autoly-Cannondale, Kervaor said she is an all-rounder who excels in time trials, breakaways, and mountain races. She also said she learned more from losing races than winning them.

“There is something to be learned from every situation. Of course, when you win a race, you know that things work out a certain way. But when you lose, you have a lot to learn. What should we do next time? What mistakes should I make so I don't make them again? You learn a lot about psychology in this sport.”

Esra Tromp, general manager of EF-Autrey-Cannondale, welcomed Kervaor to the team and said she was impressed by the 23-year-old's versatility.

“Sedrine fits into the DNA of the team. Her riding style is exactly the style of racing we want. It's exciting to see her risk losing and give it her all to get a result,” Tromp said. [She is] an impressive rider and still young. We both have big ambitions and I am confident that together we can grow and achieve them. Cedrine's strength and versatility make her the ideal rider to complete the 2025 roster.”
