Los Angeles Legion Launches Fundraising Drive to Support Diversity Initiative

Legion of Los Angeles, America's elite cycling team, has launched a fundraising drive to support the team's initiative to increase diversity and inclusion in the sport.

The team has set a goal of donating $50,000 and has five plans covering how the money will be spent, including supporting junior programs and riders through grants, talent camps, and equipment needs.

The team's founder is national amateur criterium champion Justin Williams, who has launched a GoFundMe page, Pride of the People - L39ION of Los Angeles (opens in new tab), since Friday, It has already raised more than $42,000.

"Legion of Los Angeles was founded by national champion Justin Williams. Justin Williams made the top 10 of Cycling News' recently released "Power List: 50 Most Influential People in Cycling."

This year's team members include Cory Williams, Diego Vinatena, Edel Freire, Hunter Grove, Lance Heide, Scott Law, Cory Lockwood, Isaiah Oliver, Thomas Levard, Tyler Williams and Dante Young. also included.
