Total Direct Energy has selected nine riders for the Tour de France Long Team.
A team of eight will be selected from the nine riders: Niccolo Bonifazio, Lilian Callemagne, Jerome Cousin, Fabien Grellier, Romain Sicard, Julien Simon, Jeffrey Soup, Line Taaramae, and Anthony Turguis.
These nine players will head to the high altitude camp in Von Romieu on July 11.
Bonifazio won the group sprint on stage 5 of Paris-Nice, the second stage of the Saudi Tour this season. Calmejane won a stage at the 2017 Tour de France, while Taramaye won stages at the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a EspaƱa.
Terpstra, who has won Paris-Roubaix and the Tour de Flanders, was injured in an accident during a motor pace between Enkhuizen and Lelystad in the Netherlands on Tuesday, June 16. He swerved to avoid a goose and hit a rock.
He was airlifted to the hospital where doctors confirmed a collapsed lung, concussion, broken ribs and a broken collarbone.
This was the 36-year-old's second major accident in a year. He fell in a group crash during the 2019 Tour de France and fractured his shoulder blade; earlier in 2019, he suffered a concussion in a crash during the Tour de Flanders.
Terpstra is expected to be out of competition until the end of August, with the Tour de France beginning on August 29 in Nice.
