Yente Biermans has signed a two-year contract extension with Israel Startup Nation.
"This contract extension means a lot to me. It proves that the team trusts me. To have my contract renewed so soon, in this difficult year, means that the team believes in me a lot."
Biermans joined the team this year from Katusha Alpecin, whose World Tour license was taken over by Israel Startup Nation.
"This team is more than a team. It's a group of people who make difficult decisions and support each other in those decisions." The team doesn't just think about the race, they listen to what the riders think."
The young support riders started the 2020 season with the Challenge Mallorca in January and have ridden the Volta Ao Algarve, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Coone Brussel Coone, Le Samyn, and Paris-Nice.
Biermanns will now target one-day races and "spring" classics, especially in October.
"It is my dream to win a professional race, and I want to fulfill this dream with my ISN teammates and staff. I want to develop myself more in the Classics so that I can be an important player for the ISN's Classics team."
"The weather in Belgium in October can be good, but it can also be very bad.
Team manager Kjell Carlström said, "He supported the team's goals with a great attitude both in the Belgian "opening weekend" (Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne) and in Paris - Nice.
"We see him as a future classic rider as he continues to develop in the right way.
