U23 European Time Trial Champion Price-Peitelsen Joins Uno X

Johan Preiss-Peitersen, the under-23 men's European time trial champion, will join Norwegian pro team Uno-X on a two-and-a-half-year contract starting August 1. [Pryce-Peitersen told Danish cycling website Feltet.dk on Monday, "It's great, but I also feel it's a natural step for me in terms of where I am and what I want. It's a really great opportunity and I feel like it's completely the right thing to do."

Pryce-Peitelsen is also the current under-23 Danish time trial champion, having won the U23 time trial at the UEC Road European Championships in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, last August, beating compatriot Mikkel Bjarg. He was therefore one of the favorites to win the U23 time trial at the World Championships in Yorkshire, England, in September, but a fall on a very wet course cost him, and he finished the race in 59th place.

"Time trials are what I do best, so it makes sense to work on that discipline to improve further.

He joins a team of five Danes, including current under-23 national road race champion Frederik Rodenberg.

"It's a big plus and something that will make me move even better. Instead of starting with no relationships at all within the team, these are riders I already know well and have raced with many times. They were a really big part of my ColoQuick team last year, so I'm really looking forward to riding with them again," said Price-Petersen.

"I'm really proud to see other riders stepping up from ColoQuick," senior sport director Brian Petersen said on the ColoQuick team website.

"As a talent development team, we are of course very happy to be able to consistently develop riders that teams at higher levels are interested in," he said.
