Castelli worked with Basketball Hall of Famer Reggie Miller and Team Bun Baby to create the "Say Their Names" jersey to recognize and challenge racial and economic injustice.
All profits from the jersey will be donated to the Equal Justice Initiative, a 501 C3 organization dedicated to ending mass incarceration and excessive sentencing in America, challenging racial and economic injustice, and protecting the basic human rights of the most vulnerable in American society.
The money will be donated to the Equal Justice Initiative, a 501 C3 organization dedicated to protecting the basic human rights of the most vulnerable in American society.
Available in both men's and women's versions, the jerseys are adorned with poignant statements from the "Black Lives Matter" movement, which has led to significant calls for action around the world to address issues still existing around police brutality, injustice and racism.
The jersey is made of Prosecco Strada fabric and features mesh side panels to maintain comfortable breathability in hot weather. The jersey features inset sleeves and drop hem pockets for a better fit and is finished with reflective tabs and a full-length covered zipper.
This is not the first collaboration between former Indiana Pacers star Miller and Castelli, who in the past has released the Team Boombaby collection consisting of jerseys, bib shorts, and mountain bike jerseys in four vibrant colors. Profits from the limited sales of this Boombaby clothing were donated to the Dropping Dimes Foundation
with Miller donating an equal amount.
Both Team Boombaby and Castelli pledged to donate an amount equal to the proceeds of the first 100 "Say Their Names" jerseys sold.
The jersey is currently available for pre-order for August delivery in the U.S. only, priced at $99.99.
