Movistar Men and Women Reunite at Training Camp for Season Resumption

Movistar announced Friday that its men's and women's teams will reconvene for training camps in preparation for a revised calendar for the second half of the season, which begins later this month. The women's team will begin training camp on Sunday in Pamplona, while the men's team is currently training in the Pyrenees.

The teams confirmed that the women's program will begin racing at the Emmacmén Nafaroa Classicoa and Clasica Femenina Navarre on July 23-24 and the Navarre Classic in Durango-Durango on July 26. [Nine athletes will participate in the training camp: Barbara Guariski, Katrine Allerud, Yelena Elitch, Alicia González, Aidel Merino, Alba Teruel, Shayla Gutierrez, Lourdes Oyarbide, and Paula Patiño. The men's team has already begun training camp at an altitude of 2,000 meters in the Pyrenees and will start their season at the Vuelta a Burgos, which will be held from July 28 to August 1.
