Guarnieri, Jenyets, and Le Gac re-sign with Groupama-FDJ

Groupama-FDJ announced contract extensions for three players on Thursday. Jacopo Guarnieri and Kevin Jenyets signed for two more seasons, and Olivier Le Gac signed for three more years.

The French World Tour team made the announcement via social media posts on Twitter and Instagram on Thursday. The contract extension follows three-season contract extensions for the team's five stars - Thibaut Pinot, Arnaud Demaret, Stéphane Kühn, David Gaudoux, and Benoit Kosnefrois - as well as the somewhat unusual four-year contract extension signed by Rudy Morale last month.

Guarnieri is one of De Mare's key riders, a sprinter, and the experienced 32-year-old Italian led the Frenchman to victory on stage 10 of last year's Giro d'Italia and took a stage win in Pau at the Tour de France the previous year.

Guarnieri, who was part of the Italian Liquigas team when he first started his career, has four wins of his own, including two stage wins at the Tour de Pollogne and victories at the Circuit Franco-Belgium and Die Edagues des Pannes.

Luxembourg's Kevin Jenietz, 23, stepped up from the UCI Continental-level under-23 team last season to become the U23 Luxembourg time trial champion.
