Trek Segafredo, women's bike stolen before Strade Bianche

The Trek-Segafredo women's team will start Strade Bianche with spare equipment after six Emonda bikes were stolen overnight in Italy.

In a social media post, the team stated that "thieves broke through the roof of the truck and stole the bikes" on Friday night.

Strade Bianche will be the first World Tour race for the peloton since the season resumed after a forced hiatus due to a coronavirus outbreak.

Trek Segafredo will start the race with several options, including former winners Elisa Longo Borghini and Lizzie Deignan.

The women's race is 136 km, with 23 teams competing on 30 km of gravel roads, starting in Siena at 11:00 Central European Time and ending with the traditional finish in Piazza del Campo in Siena.
