Cycling News announced today that Jackie Tyson has joined its editorial team as online production editor for North America. Tyson founded the sports marketing and PR firm Peloton Sports in 1998 and has managed projects for elite and pro cycling clients including Tour de Georgia, USA Cycling Inc. and the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah.
"This is an exciting opportunity to return to the editorial side of professional sports, having worked with CyclingNews writers, photographers, and editors on many races and projects since 2005, and to contribute directly as part of a global team. I'm looking forward to it," Tyson said.
Taking over the Peloton Sports business, Tyson will be based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and will work with the North American editorial staff of Kirsten Frattini and Laura Weissro, as well as Cycling News editor Daniel Benson.
"We are delighted to announce that Jackie has joined our editorial team. Jackie has a vast amount of experience and is one of the most recognized and respected members of the American cycling community. We are committed to all areas of cycling in North America and are confident that Jackie's leadership and knowledge will be key to moving the site forward," Benson said.
