Dennis (Ineos Grenadiers), the time trial world champion, is currently competing in the Tirreno Adriatico but will only participate in the elite men's time trial on September 25.
Durbridge, along with Mitchelton Scott teammates Jack Hague, Lucas Hamilton, and Damien Howson, will be part of an eight-man road race team on September 27, Michael Matthews and Jai Hindley of Team Sunweb, Simon Clark of EF Pro Cycling, and Porte of Trek-Segafredo will make up the team.
Spratt will also lead the Mitchelton-Scott team in this week's Giro Rosa and will again lead the national team in the elite women's road race on the hilly course that finishes at the famous Imola circuit in the world championships.
Spratt, who won a silver medal in the 2018 World Championships road race and a bronze medal last year, is joined by trade teammates Lucy Kennedy, Grace Brown, Sarah Roy, and FDJ Nouvelle Aquitaine Futuroscope's Brody Chapman, Shara Marche (née Guiraud), and the experienced Rachel Neylan (Cronos Casa Dorada) will all be competing at the World Championships on September 26.
Brown will represent Australia in the elite women's time trial on September 24, two days before the road race.
"2020 is a year of challenges for everyone and this World Championships will be unlike anything we have seen before," Cycling Australia CEO and Managing Director Steve Drake said in a press release Tuesday.
"We have chosen two strong teams that will provide plenty of options on race day.
