Time Trial Start Time for Stage 14 of the Giro d'Italia 2020

Stage 14, the second stage of the 2020 Giro d'Italia, is a 34.1km individual time trial. In the first stage, Joao Almeida (Deceuninck-Quick Step) finished second behind Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers), helping him to win the maglia rosa two days later.

The individual time trial would be an important test for Almeida. Almeida was less than a minute ahead of the experienced Wilco Kelderman (Sunweb) and Pero Bilbao (Bahrain McLaren) and just over a minute ahead of former Giro winner Vincenzo Nibali (Trek Segafredo).

Stage 14's course winds through the Prosecco vineyards, with a category 4 climb to Valdobbiadene just 7.4 km from the starting point at Conegliano.

The climb up Muro di Ca del Poggio goes straight up a hillside surrounded by vineyards. At one point the gradient reaches 19% and the course climbs to a spectacular ridge overlooking the high mountains where the race will take place on Sunday.

The racers will continue along this ridge for about 5 km, passing through LEFRONTRO and descending to the plains. From this section to the bottom of the second ascent, the road is uncategorized but relatively flat and straight.

After passing a number of spumanti wineries near Guia, the route follows the contour line for the next 4 km before dropping into the finish at Valdobbiadene.
