The gap between Giro d'Italia leader Jai Hindley (Team Sunweb) and his closest rival Tao Geoghegan Hart (Ineos Grenadiers) is a fraction of a second. Sunday's final time trial in Milan will be the most important ride of both riders' lives.
The 15.7km individual time trial will kick off at 1:40pm local time. Jonathan Dibben (Lotto-Soudal) will be the first rider on the final stage.
World champion Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers), who has already won two time trials in this Giro, is again the favorite to win the stage. If he sets the fastest time after the 2:52 p.m. start, he will have a long wait in the hot seat before the stage finish.
Former Maria Rosa driver Joao Almeida (Deceuninck-Quick Step) will start first among the top five at 4 p.m., followed by Pero Bilbao (Bahrain McLaren), another former Maria Rosa driver Wilco Kelderman (Team Sunweb), Geoghegan Hart and Hindley followed three minutes apart.
Cycling News will provide live coverage of the thrilling final stage from start to finish.
