Zwift and AusCycling Announce New Partnership

Virtual riding platform Zwift and Australian cycling federation AusCycling have announced a new partnership for 2021.

AusCycling, the new name for Cycling Australia, will once again work with Zwift following this year's online National Racing Series, which saw national men's and women's teams compete in six events over May, June and July.

Next season, Zwift will be hosting the Masters Road Series in April, a repeat of the National Racing Series from May to July, the National Junior Racing Series, an exclusive monthly ride with members of the Australian Cycling Team, the August August, a time trial series in July, and a graded criterium series in September, as well as numerous online racing and recreational events.

"The growth of esports in cycling has continued to accelerate worldwide over the past 12 months. We are especially pleased that this partnership will allow AusCycling to expand its services to all levels of membership, not just the elite level," Kip Kaufman, General Manager of Events and Racing at AusCycling, said in a press release on Tuesday. He stated. [We are excited to be a leader in cycling esports and the Zwift platform will allow our members to get more out of riding their bikes for competition and fun.

Zwift co-founder and CEO Eric Min added, "Cycling esports provides a great opportunity to grow the sport of cycling and bring in a new generation of cyclists."

." Further expansion of AusCycling sanctioned races on the Zwift will provide cyclists of all abilities the opportunity to experience the fun of racing on the Zwift."
