Continental team SEG Racing Academy is looking for a new academy director after current academy director Aike Visbeek has decided to move to new WorldTour team Circus-Wanty Gobert for the 2021 season. They are looking for a new academy director.
The Dutch team is one of cycling's leading development teams and has sent 27 riders to WorldTour and professional teams since its founding in 2015. Graduates include Fabio Jacobsen (Deceuninck-QuickStep), Cece Boll (Team Sunweb), Edoardo Affini (Mitchelton-Scott), Kane Bowman (Jumbo-Visma), Stephen Williams ( Bahrain McLaren), among others.
Timen Arensman, who moved to Sunweb mid-season, is the newest addition, while Jordi Meeus and David Decker (son of former professional player Eric) will move to Lot Soudal and Jumbo-Visma for the 2021 season.
Meeus and Decker led the team through a tough 2020 season, with Meeus taking the points prize at the U23 Giro d'Italia and Decker making the podium at the World Tour in Le Samyn, with five wins between them.
The team, which has led several British riders to the pros, is set to add three Brits to its roster for 2021, with Harrison Wood joining Sean Flynn and teenager Thomas Day.
SEG is looking for candidates to lead the team by the November 25 application deadline, and their roles include day-to-day management, serving as lead director sportif, organizing training camps, and coordinating scouting.
