Cycling News is seeking an online production editor based in Australia. This position is remote and requires regular weekend work.
Job Purpose
The duties of this position are varied and will involve many aspects of site production and operations, traffic growth and editorial qualities. Reporting to and working closely with the Editor-in-Chief, you will share responsibility for the site and its growth in your assigned region (Australia).
The office is located in Sydney, so you can be based there if you live there, or you can be based at home if you are within Australia.
Importantly, you will maximize your passion and strengths in writing engaging news, reports, and features, and you will be an important member of our editorial team.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the timely production of news pages, interviews, and race coverage.
Must liaise frequently with the Editor-in-Chief to develop strategies and plans for Australian cycling coverage.
Essential Skills
Must be a native English speaker with impeccable writing, grammar, and punctuation skills and comfortable editing other writers' work as well as correcting interviewees' words into plain English.
Preferred
While not required, a passion and knowledge of men's and women's professional cycling and its history is desirable.
