Clark, Tvetkov Join 2021 Wildlife Generation Team

American Continental team Wildlife Generation has announced its riders for the 2021 season, with four returning riders and six newcomers, including veterans Johnny Clark and Sergey Tvetkov.

Formerly sponsored by Jerry Berry for 19 years, the team has signed a three-year contract with an environmental non-profit organization as title sponsor for the 2019 season and has enjoyed success in 2019, winning a stage at the Tour de Hokkaido in Japan and competing in the Tour of Utah and Japan Cup. 2021 will be the final year of his contract with Wildlife Generation.

However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the team's 2020 season has been significantly curtailed, with the Tour de Langkawi and the Malaysia International Classic being the only events this year.

Clark and Tvetkov bring ample experience to the young team: Clark, 35, raced with Van Haute on the 2009 Jerry Berry team, but moved to UnitedHealthcare in 2010, where he spent nine years as road captain and primary support rider. He was road captain and primary support rider for nine years. When that team ended, Clark joined Floyd's Pro Cycling and won a stage at the Tour de Taiwan. That year, Clark signed a contract with Team Skyline, but did not race due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 31-year-old Tvetcov returned to the Van Auto team after a year with Team Sapura in Malaysia.

He previously raced for Jelly Belly in 2013, 2014, and 2017, reaching the final podium of the USA Pro Challenge in 2014; in 2017, he finished on the podium at the Colorado Classic, Tour of Utah, and Tour of the Gila; in 2017, he finished on the podium at the Colorado Classic, Tour of Utah, and Tour of the Gila; in 2016, he finished on the podium at the Tour of the Americas, He topped the final standings of the Tour of the Americas.Between two stints, Tvetcov raced for Androni Giocattoli and finished at the Giro d'Italia in 2015.

The team retained 20-year-old Ryan Justlove, brother of junior world champion Megan Justlove; 24-year-old Kent Ross; 22-year-old Alex Horne; and 24-year-old Cormac McGeough.

Other new additions include Ulises Castillo (Elevate), Noah Granigan and Spencer Petroff from the now defunct Hincapie team, and Jason Saltzman, who raced this year for the Austrian team Sportland Niederösterreich.
