Bingor Wallonie Bruxelles will establish a women's team in 2021.

Bingoal-Wallonie Bruxelles announced Monday that it will launch a women's team in 2021, led by Ansophie Duyck. The Bingoal-WB Ladies will consist of 23 riders and will aim to compete on the professional racing circuit.

Bingoal-Waloney Bruxelles launched its men's continental team in 2011 and upgraded it to the professional team level in 2017. It also ran a development program in 2012 and has a team competing in the French-speaking paracycling league, Ligue Handysport Francophone, this year. The new women's team will add a fourth program to the three existing teams.

"With these essential elements, the Bingoire-WB team is not only a place to perform, but also a place to learn and bring young talent from all backgrounds to the highest level," the team said in a press release.

Christoph Brandt, director of Bingoal-WB, was pleased to announce that the women's team would be joining the program.

"We are very happy and enthusiastic to launch this new collaboration within the framework of the Women's Cycling Project. Our fundamental intention is to promote the sport of cycling, to help young people progress and reach the highest level in the world, which is also the goal of our ProPole and U23 development teams.

"In 2020 we have started a technical cooperation and exchange of excellent training methods with the Ligue Handysport Francophone for five high-level paracyclists. This new development with the women's sector adds to this logic of exchange, development and performance."

According to Ludivine Henrion, the women's team will concentrate on racing the Lotto Cycling Cup and will compete in 12 UCI-registered events. They will also compete in the Women's Cycling Series calendar, which includes 8-10 races between Belgian and Dutch clubs.
