Leopard Pro Cycling Announces Final 2021 Registered Players

The Leopard Pro Cycling team's continental roster is now complete, with the addition of Dutchman Jarno Mobach and German Tim Thorn Teutenberg to the 12-rider roster for 2021.

Luxembourg-based team director Markus Zingen called 18-year-old Teutenberg "one of the biggest talents in German cycling."

In the 2019 Tour de Gironde, he was beaten by 19-year-old Carlos Rodriguez, who made his debut in 2020 at the Ineos Grenadiers Not to be outdone, he finished second overall at the 2019 Tour de Gironde International (2.1), where he was also named best young rider.

"My goal for 2021 is to get off to a solid start in the U23 category," Teutenberg said. 'I want to develop further as a rider, and if that leads to good results, that's a bonus. I'm looking forward to the next season, because the Leopards have proven time and again that they are the best development team for young riders who want to become professionals."

In 2020, Teutenberg also performed well on the track, finishing second (Omnium) and third (Madison) at the Junior European Championships. He also finished the season with a 4th place in the mountain class at the Grand Prix Lübriland, 11th in the G.C., and 3rd in the Junior German Road Race Championships.

Moved up from Team Sunweb's development team, Mobach has been highly successful in the junior ranks as well: in his U23 debut, he won the 2017 Olympias Tour, and in his first season in the junior ranks, he finished third in the G.C., and third in the G.C. in the junior class at the Geneva Olympiads Tour. Just the year before, he won the junior edition of Paris-Roubaix, defeating Team DSM's Nils Eekhoff and Mac Hirschi, as well as Jasper Filipsen, who will join Alpecin Phoenix in 2021 and is currently on the World Tour team.

In 2019, Mobach finished in the top 10 in both Ghent-Wevelgem and the Tour of Flanders.

"I am really excited to be racing with Leopard Pro Cycling and to meet new people in a very structured environment. I hope to get another chance in two disciplines that I really like: classic-type racing and time trials," Mobach, now 22, said in the team announcement. But the most important thing for me is to race again in a 'normal' year and continue the good feeling I had at the end of the 2020 season."

A week ago, the team announced the addition of 18-year-old Mats Wenzel, a three-time Luxembourg junior national champion, and 19-year-old time trial specialist Louis Coclet of France.
