Project Echelon Racing Announces 2022 Roster; Schein and Stitz Join

Project Echelon Racing has announced that it will have a roster of 18 riders in 2022, its sixth year as an elite American national team. The new additions are three up-and-coming riders, Canada's Jordan Schein, who has competed for Elevate Webiplex Pro Cycling for the past four seasons, New Zealand's Ethan Kleyne, and Americans Tyler Stites and Hugo Scala Jr.

2022 Among the top riders returning in 2022 are three Americans, George Simpson, Zach Gregg, and John Heinlein III. States, who turns 24 in March, is a versatile rider who has raced five seasons in Eboro, winning a stage win and a mountain prize at this year's Joe Martin stage race. He was part of the US National Team that competed in the 2019 Amgen Tour of California. Scala, now 24, also raced for Gateway Devo Cycling and placed fourth at the 2019 U23 US Road Championships. Crane moved on after a combination with Automatic Racing and New England Devo, winning two stages of the Green Mountain Stage Race in Vermont at age 19. 30-year-old Shain is a time trial specialist and has finished in the top 10 in the Canadian championships in six of the last seven years.

The team expects many of the major U.S. stage races to return in 2022, and plans to mix in criterium races with events such as the Redlands Cycling Classic, Tour of the Gila, Joe Martin Stage Race, and Green Mountain Stage Race. The team is also considering adding an off-road event to its 2022 calendar, where it is equally eager to promote the growth of the veteran community that the organization supports.
