According to multiple sources contacted by Cyclingnews, Mark Padun is set to run for EF-Education Nippo in 2022.The 25-year-old has been running for Bahrain Victorious since turning pro in 2018, but on Monday, after this season announced that he will be leaving the team.

"I'm about to start a new chapter in my career with another team to be announced later.

Last week, European media speculated that Padun had agreed to join the Ineos Grenadiers, but the British team put an end to the rumors by denying signing Padun.

According to Cyclingnews, the Ukrainian rider will be a rider for EF Education Nippo, and the American team plans to make many changes in the off-season.

EF-Nippo has yet to comment on the move, but has signed a number of new riders, including James Shaw, Melhawy Kudus, Ben Healy, Owain Dour, Esteban Chaves, and Christian Odd Iking.

Padun won a stage win at the Tour de l'Alps as a neo-pro in 2018, but made a name for himself earlier this season when he won a series of mountain stages in sensational style and took the mountains jersey at the Criterium du Dauphiné.

He was not selected for the team's Tour de France squad, but finished third in the Vuelta a Burgos and competed in the Vuelta a España. His departure from Bahrain Victorious had been expected for several weeks.
