Chris Juul Jensen will spend at least eight seasons with Team Bike Exchange, as the Australian-based team has extended his contract with the team for another two years, to the end of 2023.
The hardworking Domestique, who last clinched victory on stage 4 of the 2018 Tour de Suisse, has been with the team since 2018 after moving from Tinkoff-Saxo, where he spent four seasons.
"Renewing my contract with Team Bike Exchange was the obvious choice for me. I've had a great six years with this team, surrounded by many great colleagues," said Jür-Jensen. Every time I put on the number it motivates me. We stay together, win or lose. This is what gives us the passion and hunger to fight through the hard races. I can't wait to race with the team next year and win."
The 32-year-old rider has been a regular at the team's Tour de France races in recent years and also competed in the Giro d'Italia this season as support for Simon Yates, who finished third overall.
According to Team BikeExchange, Jules Jensen remains an important foundation in the engine room, helping the team win everything from the hilly stages of Grand Tours to flat one-day races.
"It is a pleasure to continue to work with Chris, who is a very intelligent rider and is always willing to help the team in different races and situations, not only while racing on the bike, but also off the bike, supporting the team and providing constructive feedback. We are pleased to continue working with Chris, who is always willing to help the team in a variety of races and situations, including providing constructive feedback," General Manager Brent Copeland said in a statement.
"We are counting on his full support and commitment to remain with Green Edge Cycling.
