Transfer Update: Cofidis acquires Arme.

Although 2021 is coming to an end, the "transfer window" in cycling racing continues, with a number of transfers announced over the past few days.

Cofidis announced the addition of two more riders for next year, bringing the maximum number of riders on the roster to 31; Sander Armée, the 2017 Vuelta a España stage winner and who spent this season with Qhubeka NextHash, will move from Delko, France He joins the French team along with fellow Frenchman Alexandre Delettre.

The WorldTour team signed Ion Izaguirre, Bryan Coquard, Davide Cimolai, and Max Valscheid this offseason, with Elia Viviani (Ineos Grenadier) and Christophe Laporte (Jumbo Visma) departing.

Emmanuel Morin will move to Continental team Team U Nantes Atlantic. Meanwhile, the future destinations of Nathan Haas, Jempy Drucker, and Nathanael Berhane, who are out of contract, have not yet been announced.

Quick Step has almost completed its team for next season, and the Belgian team has 30 riders under contract with the extension of Czech time trial specialist Josef Cerny.

Cerny, 30, who won the 19th stage of the 2020 Giro d'Italia, is signed for two more seasons, leaving one slot open for Mark Cavendish, who is expected to announce a contract extension.

"It will allow me to improve my tactics during the race and gain more experience. 'I want to race with the Wolfpack and win as much as possible.'

Several other riders are also stepping down or leaving the World Tour level for 2022.

Slovakian Erik Baška is moving on after six years (the last five at Bora-Hansgrohe) with compatriot Peter Sagan. He moves to the Slovakian continental team Dukla Banska Bystrica.

Colombia's EPM-Scott gets two World Tour riders. Rodrigo Contreras returns to his team in 2018 after three seasons racing for Astana, while Cristian Camilo Muñoz joins after three years with UAE Team Emirates.
