Eri Yonamine signed a 2022 contract with Human Powered Health.

Eri Yonamine of Japan will join the women's roster of Human Powered Health (formerly known as Rally Cycling) in 2022, moving from one US-based team to another.

Yonamine, who spent 2021 with TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank, is suffering from iliac artery endometriosis (thickening of the iliac artery) and will finish racing after the World Championships to undergo surgery in October.

"The surgery made it difficult for me to sign a contract with a new team. But Human Powered Health opened doors and gave me a chance."

"I'm looking forward to riding symptom-free and racing with young riders who have so much potential.

The domestique, who has ridden at Allee BTC Ljubljana, Wiggle High 5, and FDJ Nouvelle Aquitaine Futuroscope, is an 11-time national champion in road racing and time trials.

"Eli can bring to us his years of experience and teamwork in the Euro peloton. Human Powered Health will give her the opportunity to continue proving herself as an all-around racer."

Yonamine is the 12th and final 2022 signing for the team, which plans to move to the Women's World Team level next year. Human Powered Health's roster ranges from young athletes who are developing to more experienced athletes who have already been integrated into top-level races. Yonamine was part of this team of experienced athletes, but that was not her only attraction.

"I can't win races, but we can. I can do something to help my teammates win, and that motivates me to be a good rider."
