Lotto Soudal extends his contract with De Baist until the end of 2024.

Lot Soudal had already signed a contract with Jasper De Baist until the end of 2022, but recognizing his value as a key rider on the Australian sprint train, the Belgian rider's commitment period was matched by Caleb Yuan's, with an additional 2 additional years.

De Baist has been with Lotto Soudal since 2015 and will spend 10 seasons with a contract extension until the end of 2024. During this time, he may have few victories of his own, but the victories he has brought are many.

"Jasper has been a part of Lotto Soudal for seven years and keeping him was a priority. John Lerangue, general manager of Lot Soudal, said, "As one of the key players in Caleb's sprint train, Jasper has been instrumental in many of our victories."

"In addition, we have signed reinforcements for the sprint train such as Jarrad Drizners, Michael Schwarzmann, and RĂ¼diger Selig. This is to give riders like Jasper de Baist a little more freedom to pursue their own results as well. Jasper has already won a few races and has been successful in one-day races such as the Spring Classics.

The 28-year-old's win list includes Binche-Chimay-Binche in 2017, as well as GP Stade Zotteghem, Heist Paille, and a stage at the Tour de Wallonie that same year. He also won a stage at the Tour of Denmark in 2019 and recently competed in the Ghent Six with Roger Kluge, finishing second overall.

De Baist said the contract extension is a sign of mutual trust and a reflection of the "lovely collaboration" of the past season, in which he has run with the support of other riders.

"Of course, I will continue to do my best for the sprinters. 'I've put my personal ambitions aside for the last few years, so it's kind of a test to see if I can get my own results. In any case, I hope I can do both of those things. Of course, I'd like to win a few more races.
