Organizers of the Tour de Pollogne have announced the route for the 2022 edition, which will run from July 30 to August 5 with a total of seven stages. 1]

Beginning with a 220.9 km sprint stage to Lublin, the race will kick off in Kielce for the first time. The 220.9 km to Lublin will most likely be a sprint stage, but the final 300 m will be a challenge for sprinters with a 4% gradient.

Stage 2 continues with 203.9 km of hilly terrain from Chelm to Zamoscic. Three climbs await the riders with 30 km to go, and the last of the three climbs to the finish in Przemysl has a double-digit gradient.

Stage 4 will be a day for the GC men, with plenty of climbing throughout the day as they tackle the mountains of Sanok Tulchan. At 176.8 km long, the stage will take the riders from Lesko to Sanok and then another 205 km of hilly terrain from Wangchut to Rzeszów.

Stage 6 will feature a 15.4km uphill time trial, with a 415m elevation gain to the Bukovina Resort, a regular course in the Tour de Pollogne. Stage 6 will be the last chance for the GC men to make a difference in the overall standings. The race will then conclude with a sprint stage in Krakow after a 175 km mountain stage with 1,971 m of elevation gain.

The 2022 race will be the 66th edition of the Tour de Pologne. Joao Almeida, who will join UAE Team Emirates next season, was crowned champion in August, defeating Matej Mohoric of Bahrain Victorious by 20 seconds.

Lemko Evenpole, Pavel Sivakov, Michał Kwiatkowski, and Dylan Tuns are the most recent winners, and no one has won the race multiple times since Ondrej Sosenka in the early 2000s.

The race will be the 22nd race on next year's World Tour calendar and will be held between the end of the Tour de France and the start of the Vuelta a España. Next year's World Tour calendar will not include the Tour Down Under and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.
