British rider Katie Archibald is returning to the pro peloton after signing a contract with Germany's Serratigit-WNT for the next two seasons.
The 27-year-old spent a year with the team, then known as WNT Pro Cycling, in 2017 and also spent a year with Wiggle High5 before turning her attention back to the track for the past three years.
Archibald is a three-time track world champion in the Omnium, Madison, and Team Pursuit, and has won 17 European track championship titles.
She was part of Great Britain's Team Pursuit gold medal-winning team at the 2016 Olympics, winning silver in that event at this summer's Tokyo Games and gold in the Madison.
On the road, she won the prologue of the 2018 BeNe Ladies Tour and was third overall in the same race.
Most recently, she competed in the inaugural UCI Track Champions League, winning three of the four scratch and elimination races in the first two rounds and leading the endurance standings.
"Hip hip hooraaaay! Welcome back Katie," the team posted on Twitter.
"After our fantastic first two UCI Track Champions League races in Mallorca and Lithuania, we thought we would continue the celebration by welcoming Katie Archibald to the team, her home until 2024.
Serratizit-WNT is undergoing major changes for the 2022 season, including the retirement of Kirsten Wilde, the transfer of Elizabeth Banks to EF Education-Cibco-Silicon Valley Bank, and Julie Less to her new team, Uno-X.
While the majority of the 2022 team roster has yet to be finalized, Maria Julia Confalonieri and Laura Ascencio have already signed contracts for next year.
