Sean Bennett, one of the last riders from Team Qhubeka-NextHash to find a contract partner for 2022, has finally found a team with former pro Maarten Jalingi and sport directors Amaƫl Moinard and Lionel Marie in the new He finally found a team in the China Glory Cycling Team.

The announcement was made on the team's social media channels after the UCI approved their registration as a Continental team.

"The China Glory Cycling Team aims to develop Chinese riders with international mentors and prepare them for a career in international cycling," the team wrote.

After three seasons on the WorldTour with EF Education First and then Qhubeka, Bennett dropped to the continental level with former Danish teammate Andreas Stockbro of the Africa team, who signed with Team Coup.

The team announced its dissolution in December after the UCI refused to register it as a World Tour team. Domenico Pozzovivo, high-profile Domestique, Sergio Henao, sprinter Rainaldo Janse van Rensburg, African talent Nick Dlamini, Swiss Kilian Franchigny, and Spaniard Carlos Barbero remain.

Henok Mulubrhan, a promising Eritrean who raced for Qhubeka's development team and was slated to move to a World Tour team, signed with German team Bike Aid.

The luckiest players from Team Qhubeka-NextHash signed with other world teams, with Israel Premier Tech adding Simon Clark and Giacomo Nizzolo and EF Education Easy Post acquiring Lukasz Visnjowski, Cofidis welcomed Sander Alme and Max Valscheid, Lot Soudal returned Victor Kampenaerts, and Quick Step Alphavinir named Mauro Schmid as a late signing.

Lasse Norman Hansen and Michal Gogl fell to the pro team level with Uno X and Alpecin Phoenix, respectively.

Some players retired, with Fabio Al deciding to end his career before his team disappeared, and Matteo Perucki and Rob Power stopping their professional careers rather than scrambling for their next contracts.
