Canada-based cycling team Toronto Hustle announced Thursday that it will step up as a UCI Continental men's program in 2022. The team also announced the signings of Matteo Dalsin of Rally Cycling (now Human Powered Health) and Michael Foley and Edward Walsh of XSpeed United.

The team will enter its sixth season and will focus on UCI-level events in North America, including the Redlands Bicycle Classic, Tour of the Gila, and Joe Martin Stage Race.

"We are committed to reshaping the North American pro racing scene and playing a part in the growth and expansion of the cycling community," said Toronto Hustle president Katherine Randle in a press release." As we step up into the pro ranks, we have been able to sign phenomenal talent that will ensure our competitiveness in all the big races in North America."

Toronto Hustle has not revealed the full roster for the men's team, but signed three top Canadian talents, including former Canadian national champion Dar Singh, who has won stages at the Tour de Beauce, Tour of the Gila, and Grand Prix Cycliste de Saguenay The team also announced that it has signed three top Canadian talents, including former Canadian national champion Dal Singh, a stage winner at the Grand Prix de la Cycliste de Saguenay. The team also announced the signings of Foley, an Olympian and team pursuit specialist, and Walsh, a former under-23 national champion.

Toronto Hustle is also looking to continue growing its women's gravel team after launching the program in 2020. The team will consist of four riders: Holly Clark, Stephanie Oh, Melissa Wong, and Chloe Desroches, and will focus on major gravel events this season, including Unbound Gravel and Big Sugar, with the women's cycling community The goal is to inspire the women's cycling community.

A representative from Toronto Hustle confirmed to Cycling News that the team will also work with sport director and team mentor Scott McFarlane to inspire the next generation of riders through a junior development team in 2022.

McFarlane said.

McFarlane has worked with the Canadian national team, Floyd Cycling, and Toronto Hustle as sport director. As a coach, he founded Toguri Training in Montreal, where he is currently coaching 10 riders who represented Canada at international competitions in 2021. He will join the team with Kevin Sims, who manages the team's junior development program.

"The Toronto Hustle racing program is steadily developing, improving its race calendar each year while attracting stronger athletes. I am pleased to be able to help them take the next step to the continental level while remaining committed to the North American racing scene. I am especially looking forward to reuniting with Matteo Daltin, who raced for my team, Silver Pro Cycling, from 2014 to 2016. We have a good group of people. I can't wait to put the pedal to the metal in Redlands," McFarlane told Cycling News.

Toronto Hustle was launched in 2016 and has been committed to making a positive difference in the community. Its efforts have helped raise more than $750,000 for frontline health care workers and mental health programs through CrushCOVID, the recent Ride for Lyme Disease in the Niagara Region raised nearly $80,000 for critical research, and ongoing transportation Safety Advocacy continues to advance cycling infrastructure and knowledge.

According to the team's press release, these elements have always been and continue to be a cornerstone of the Toronto Hustle program and remain a key focus of the team.
