The Setmana Ciclista Valenciana is one of the most important early season stage races in Europe. Every year it attracts world-class athletes, as many top teams hold their training camps here before the opening weekend of the spring classics.

Formerly called DROPS Le Col s/b Tempur, the team announced in January that Wahoo had joined as co-title sponsor, with the goal of eventually joining the top UCI team, the Women's World Tour.

Its goals and management remain the same, with DROPS Le Col founders Tom and Bob Varney continuing as directors.

Le Col-Wahoo will debut at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad on February 26 and Omloop van het Hageland on February 27 to kick off the spring classics.
